
Dr. Maxie Krüger
med. vet. DACVIM (Cardiology)
Dr. Maxie Krueger is a board certified specialist in cardiology with the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM) and a graduate of the University of Leipzig in Germany with a degree in veterinary medicine.
During her studies and work with animals, she fell in love with cardiology. After graduation and a short time in private practice, Maxie moved to Canada where she continued her education at the University of Saskatchewan, completing a small animal medicine and surgery internship. From there she moved on to Bern, Switzerland where she pursued further specialty training during a cardiology specialty internship. Dr. Maxie successfully completed a residency in comparative cardiology at the University of Minnesota where she became a board-certified cardiologist. Prior to joining VSH Hong Kong, Maxie worked at the MU Veterinary Health Center at the University of Missouri as an Assistant Teaching Professor of Cardiology where she contributed to clinical teaching and resident training. She is excited for a new challenge to join the VSH team in Hong Kong.
Maxie’s professional interests include congenital heart diseases, arrhythmias, as well as pathophysiology and management of congestive heart failure. Outside of work, Maxie Krueger enjoys traveling, road biking, running, horse-back riding and cooking.
